The Vote is in for NAASS President-Elect!

  • The vote is in - NAASS Voting Members have selected Dr. David Lee of SMU as the next President-Elect of the Association!
  • Dr. Lee, current Assistant Vice President for Curricular Operations and Strategy at SMU, has been a dedicated member of NAASS since 2016, serving in roles such as Assistant Vice President (2017-2018) and Regional Vice President (2019-2021) for the Middle/Southern states.

NAASS 2021 Virtual Summit, Nov. 8-12, 2021

  • Have you registered for Virtual Summit?
  • Claim your discount as a renewed NAASS member for 2021-2022 and add up to 10 participants from your institution for $150.
  • You won’t want to miss our keynote, former Deputy Secretary of Education Jim Shelton for his insights on the landscape of higher education, as well as main sessions and breakout discussions that tackle relevant topics in summer/special sessions, higher education, leadership and more.

NAASS Summit: One Cool Thing Campaign

  • The NAASS community wants to learn about “One Cool Thing” your team did during the past two summers and special sessions, and feature it during Summit!
  • Summit attendees are encouraged to submit a five-minute video highlighting their institution’s accomplishments and special initiatives. Videos will be published on the NAASS website and social media platforms.
  • Click here to review & bookmark the submission form. All submissions must be received by October 15, 2021.

Working Groups Initiative

  • Want to collaborate with other NAASS members on topics related to summer/special sessions, right from where you're at? Then it's time to join a NAASS Working Group!
  • Working Groups are an initiative to encourage members to connect with others in roles similar to theirs to share best practices, write articles, publish scholarship and more.
  • Working Groups will also be featured on the first day of the NAASS Virtual Summit - learn more.

RSVP to the Next NAASS Webinar

  • There's still time to RSVP for the next NAASS webinar, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, September 23 @ 1 p.m. Eastern Time titled Leveraging Campus Partners to Make Summer/Special Session Programs Successful led by Amanda Therrell (University of South Carolina) and James Streeter (University of Southern Florida).
  • RSVP here - For members who RSVP, Zoom information will be shared by the end of day today.

Access to the NAASS Forum

  • With the implementation of our new membership portal, all current members have access to the new NAASS Forum on the site.
  • To access, log in to the membership portal here
  • Click on the 'Quick Links' button on the top of the page towards the right.
  • Select 'Forum.'
  • Click on 'NAASS Forum - General Discussion.'
  • On the next page, click on the button on the right-hand side of the page that says 'Forum Actions.'
  • Select 'Subscribe to Instant Updates' (when someone posts on the Forum or replies to your post, you will receive an email notification).
  • To create a new post, click on 'New Topic' on the left-hand side of the same page.
  • Additionally, to ensure you are receiving all notifications from the membership portal, once signed into the platform, click on the 'My Profile' button at the top of the page, click 'Edit' under 'Personal Information,' select the 'Information & Settings' tab, scroll to the bottom and ensure that the 'Forum Digest,' 'Group Digest,' 'Daily Updates,' and 'Weekly Updates' are all checked.
